If you are an individual retirement arrangement (IRA) owner age 70½ or over, you can transfer up to $100,000 to charity tax-free each year. If you are an owner 73 or older, QCDs count towards your required minimum distribution (RMD) for the year. Tax rules depend on an individual's financial and tax situation, so please consult a tax or financial advisor about your needs.
