Encore Park Dallas Executive Director Pat Bywaters will give guided walking tours of Encore Park's Sculpture Wall and 508 Park, sharing Dallas' music and film history that took place in Dallas' formative years and in Encore Park's 508 Park building where Robert Johnson and others recorded in the 1930s. The sculpture wall includes 10 large bronze bas relief panels designed by local artists Brad Oldham and Christy Coltrin to illustrate key points in the evolution of our city from its beginnings through the 1930s. The wall features WPA-era mural imagery from the Dallas Municipal Building painted by Jerry Bywaters and Alexandre Hogue in 1934. Jerry Bywaters was the former director of the Dallas Museum of Fine Art at Fair Park and is Pat’s grandfather.
